‘Can do’ attitude I mainly work with Conor and Wayne at Cherry Hill Coolstores, and I’ve always found Conor to be very obliging. He has a good disposition, a very nice manner, and is truly a people person. I value his lateral thinking to adapt and keep up with the changes and challenges of our industry – he always finds a way to move forward. Wayne has a memory like an elephant and knows this system inside and out. I enjoy his ‘can do’ attitude, and I appreciate how he goes out of his way to help with anything – even the little things.

They’re fantastic. I mostly work with Conor and Andrew L. at Cherry Hill Coolstores (plus the carrot boys), and they’re all fantastic! I’ve found them always willing to help, and take on challenging opportunities – Cherry Hill provides cool storage and washing of carrots, which has enabled continuity of supply to our processing factory, and is a testament of their innovation.

Always reliable. I’ve been working with Cherry Hill Coolstores for 15-years, and have found their processes run smoothly. They have a good facility, do a good job, and are very approachable. I generally deal directly with Wayne Maxwell – Wayne always knows where our seed is and I can examine it at any time. Whenever I’ve had criticism for the cutting of our seed, it’s taken on board and resolved quickly. If we ever run late, Wayne always stays back or works weekends to accommodate our needs. I’ve found Wayne and Cherry Hill to always be reliable.

We have a great working relationship with Cherry Hill. The project we run out of their facility is essential to the success of our harvest season around Australia. The scope of our project is ever changing and with the flexibility of Cherry Hill it has made everything run a lot smoother. The assistance that Kel and the team provide us has always been fantastic.

Benefits of improved services. Over the years Cherry Hill continue to have better unloading facilities 
and better coolstores. With the new faster unloader, our turnaround time
to unload 50-tonnes of seed is about 2-3 hours less per day. That saves 
me time and money, and I’m not keeping people waiting in paddocks for 
empty trucks to return.  

A better product for us. We’ve been dealing with Cherry Hill Coolstores for 20 years or more and are really impressed 
with their communication skills, they’re excellent. As a farmer and contractor, we often need 
to talk to them two or three times a day and their correspondence is always great, they really 
listen to our concerns. This is very important to our business. Over recent years Cherry Hill has been monitoring their coolstores and have improved the CO₂ levels which have resulted in a better product for us as end users. We are seeing a massive emergence of potato that is a lot more consistent.

A real credit to the industry. It’s full credit to Cherry Hill Coolstores, just how receptive they are to feedback. They’re a real credit to the industry.

Cherry Hill Coolstores cuts and cool stores our potatoes. We have been using them for approximately eight years. Over this time, we have found the quality of their potatoes to be good. They always ask how we are going and are very friendly. They show us their product as they are growing which is helpful. From our perspective they are favourable against competitors. They provide a good, friendly service.

We have been growing potatoes for 30 years and have been using Cherry Hill Coolstores for over 20 years for seed cool storage, since on farm storage of seed potatoes ceased. Cherry Hill now cut all our seed with most of our seed precut. With their knowledge and modern up to date seed handling equipment we are having good results, making it easier to manage seed at planting time. We have a good relationship with Andrew and Brendan and they are always there to help and give advice when needed.

Cherry Hill Coolstores have been handling our seed for about 15 years. Over this time we have seen their business grow, to be one of the most modern and up to date potato seed handling facilities in the state. They are friendly, conscientious and helpful, always making sure our seed is well looked after.

Cherry Hill Coolstores cuts all our seed and has done for a long time. We have a great relationship with Cherry Hill – we go back a long way. The quality of their potatoes are brilliant, we have never had a problem. If we do have any questions, they sort it out, we talk to Andrew and Brenden. Overall, they are brilliant. I have been planting and growing potatoes for 23 years for McCains. Dealing with Cherry Hill Cool Stores 
has always been a pleasant experience with their ability to semi hand cut seed. This enables them to 
pick up on any problems and deal with them promptly. Their strength is their staff and Brendan is always 
on the ball with advice on seed lines, cutting dates and has a professional attitude to his job.

I have been contracting for around 25 years and using Cherry Hill Coolstores for 10 years of this. The quality of Cherry Hill’s product is excellent. The after sales service is also excellent.  I can actually ring and talk to someone who knows what is going on, it is a lot more personal.  For example, we had an issue, and Brenden and Andrew were in the paddock within an hour – they are onto it straight away. Compared to competitors they offer a better service, problems get addressed quickly and the overall experience is very good. Cherry Hill is very experienced at what they do.  They have excellent communication and encourage you to actually look at the product.
